Dear Sister and Brother Officers,
It is my pleasure to report to you
that our Seventh Annual Teddy Bear Drive was a great success. This year
we are proud to have collected over 1,250 bears for hospitalized and
less fortunate children in the communities that we serve. This brings
our seven year total to over 6,350 bears. This year we are also pleased
to announce the addition of “Old Navy” as the first corporate sponsor
of our project, thanks to regional director Frank Oliveri.
On December 16, 2010 our bears were distributed to the following
Hospitals and organizations:
Winthrop
Cancer Center for Kids
Winthrop University Hospital
The Ronald McDonald House of Long Island
North Shore LIJ at Franklin General Hospital
Cohen Children’s Hospital
The Interfaith Nutrition Network
The following schools continued to participate in our drive: Our Lady of
Lourdes, Sacred Heart Academy and Locust Valley High School, thanks to
Kristen Smith.
 Special
thanks project co-ordinator S.C.O. Nancy Puglise, Commissioner of Jurors
Robert Truzzulino, C.O. Chris Martino, and all those who helped collect
including: C.O. Terry Pepe, C.O. Janet Walsh, C.O. Rene Costello, S.C.O.

generosity of Sally Donohue. Finally thanks to everyone who
donated a bear, you helped bring a little holiday magic to a child who
needed it.
